Golf Update!

Dear Fellow Members,

We hope this letter finds everyone happy & healthy. During these crucial times it is imperative that we all adhere to the rules of our ‘new normal’ in order to avoid potential fines, the possibility of losing access and most importantly, to keep everyone healthy. The following is a reminder of our existing rules as well as the additional policies and procedures to make our golf operation both safe and efficient for all during this crisis:
  • Tee times are required Tuesday – Sunday. Reservations can be made 7 days in advance.
  • You must check in with the acting security personnel at the first tee
  • Maximum of 4 per group, no fivesomes at any time
  • The Clubhouse and locker rooms remain closed, no access to restrooms on property
  • No guests are permitted, including members that have limited or no golfing privileges, so for   example, a House or House/Pool/Tennis member cannot play as a guest
  • Play time restrictions remain in place, including juniors under the age of 18, please refer to the Golf section of our website for details
  • All play must start from the first tee
  • The bag room and cart barn are closed, if you need to get your bag email Bobby Brown at bbrown@pga.com before Wednesday, April 22 at 12pm for bag pickup, after that there will be no ability to get your bag
  • The driving range, chipping and putting areas remain closed
  • No carts or caddies, but pull carts are permitted

We are happy to announce that we are starting our new online tee time system, Foretees. Tee times will be Tuesday through Sunday. Foretees is user friendly and can be used through either a mobile app on your phone or desktop.  Tee times may be reserved seven days in advance on a first come basis. Given the current situation, we are having tee time intervals of 15 minutes to assist with social distancing. We will return to the 8-minute increments as soon as possible. The integrity of the 15-minute intervals will not be altered to “squeeze in” groups.

Sadly, some of our events have been postponed and others will need to be cancelled. The golf committee and professional staff will do our best to reschedule events, making our marquee and most popular events a priority.  This includes the Men’s Two-Day Invitational which will likely need to be rescheduled. Given the timing it is unlikely that we will be able to have a successful event in June, and as such, we are working on alternate dates later in the season. With the Club Championship played over two weekends and our very popular Fall Classic, this will be a challenge, but every effort will be made to reschedule this signature event.

Thank you for your attention and compliance with these enhanced requirements as we all work through this together; and most importantly stay healthy and happy.
